The distinguished honour was conferred during the inaugural EuroKnowledge Honorary Doctorate Ceremony at the iconic One Great George Street, Westminster, London, bringing together an influential gathering of global business leaders, policymakers, diplomats, academics, entrepreneurs and innovators from Europe, Africa and Asia. The ceremony featured notable personalities, including The Rt. Hon. Sir Conor Burns, former UK Minister of State for Trade Policy, and Dr John Momoh, OON, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Channels Television, reflecting the global significance of the occasion.
The award was jointly presented by Dr. Baha Altay, Head of Academics at Richmond College, United Kingdom, and Ambassador Dr. Mrs. Olayinka Fayomi, Board Chair and Founder of the EuroKnowledge Institute. In its citation, the awarding institutions recognised Dr Dadey as one of Africa's foremost indigenous business leaders whose visionary stewardship has guided KGL Group into one of Ghana's most respected business conglomerates, with strategic interests spanning technology, finance, gaming,
logistics, real estate and strategic investments. The citation further acknowledged his unwavering commitment to technology-driven innovation, good corporate governance practices, diaspora engagement initiatives and sustainable development, as well as his enduring investment in education, healthcare, arts and culture, sports development and community empowerment through impactful corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr Dadey has consistently championed the belief that business should be a force for good—creating value not only for shareholders, but also for society. Under his leadership, KGL Group has embraced the conviction that responsible private-sector leadership extends beyond commercial performance to helping address critical social and development challenges that governments alone cannot solve. He has long advocated that businesses should serve as responsible corporate citizens, partnering with governments and communities to advance sustainable
development—not as philanthropists seeking goodwill, but as co-architects of long-term stability, public trust and shared prosperity. This philosophy continues to shape the Group's approach to innovation, enterprise and national development. In his acceptance remarks, Dr Dadey described the recognition as a collective achievement, expressing profound gratitude to the many individuals who have supported his journey.
"While my name is on this award, it reflects the support of many people who have been part of my journey my wife, Caroline, my three children, my family, colleagues at KGL Group, mentors, partners and friends. This honour belongs to all of us."
Addressing aspiring entrepreneurs, he encouraged young Africans to remain steadfast in pursuing their ambitions, emphasising that success is built on hard work, resilience, integrity and the courage to embrace change.
This distinguished recognition is a testament to Dr Alex Apau Dadey's enduring legacy as a transformational business leader and respected statesman of enterprise whose leadership continues to demonstrate that commercial success and social progress are mutually reinforcing.
