CNBC AFRICA AND KGL GROUP ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO STRENGTHEN AFRICA'S BUSINESS AND INVESTMENT NARRATIVE
CNBC Africa and KGL Group have announced a strategic partnership to strengthen Africa's business and investment narrative by promoting economic opportunities, investment insights, and stories that showcase the continent's growth and potential.

The Consumer News and Business Channel Africa (CNBC Africa) has entered into a strategic partnership with KGL Group that will see the establishment of a CNBC Africa country office in Ghana, hosted by KGL Group. The landmark partnership was officially unveiled at the 10th Ghana CEO Summit 2026, reinforcing a shared commitment to amplifying African business stories, deepening conversations around enterprise and investment, and positioning Ghana more prominently within Africa's evolving economic landscape and the global marketplace.

Speaking at the announcement, the Group Executive Chairman of KGL Group, Mr Alex Apau Dadey, described the partnership as a significant step towards strengthening Africa's voice in global business discourse while creating greater visibility for the continent's entrepreneurs, innovators, institutions, and investment opportunities.

According to Mr Dadey, the significance of the partnership extends beyond the establishment of a country office.

"Today is not merely about the announcement of a corporate partnership. It is about what becomes possible when African institutions begin to believe more deeply in African potential, African enterprise, and Africa's ability to shape global conversations from a position of confidence and credibility."

He observed that for many years, conversations about Africa have too often been framed around limitations rather than possibilities. Yet across the continent, businesses continue to rise against extraordinary odds, entrepreneurs are innovating within challenging environments, technology is transforming industries, and African enterprises are increasingly demonstrating their ability to compete, scale, and lead on the global stage.

"Those stories deserve to be amplified. Those achievements deserve visibility. And those ambitions deserve world-class platforms such as CNBC Africa."

CNBC Africa currently operates bureaux in Abuja, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Lagos, London, Lusaka, Maputo, Nairobi, Windhoek, Kigali, and Mauritius, with Arabic business programming broadcast from Cairo, Casablanca, and Khartoum. The addition of a country office in Ghana further strengthens the network's continental footprint while recognising Ghana's growing strategic importance as a hub for business, investment, leadership, and sustainable economic development across the continent.

The partnership was announced during the 10th Ghana CEO Summit 2026, attended by H.E. President John Dramani Mahama and a distinguished gathering of chief executives, policymakers, investors, and development leaders from across the continent.

Also delivering a keynote address on the theme, "Raising African Champions: Leadership, Resilience and Industrial Scale – Lessons from Ghana's Business Transformation," Mr. Dadey emphasised that Africa's next phase of transformation will depend not merely on entrepreneurial ambition, but on the continent's ability to build enduring institutions anchored in visionary leadership, institutional discipline, and long-term thinking.

Reflecting on the partnership, Mr Dadey expressed KGL Group's profound appreciation to the leadership of ABN Group and CNBC Africa for the trust and confidence reposed in both KGL Group and Ghana.

"We are sincerely grateful to the leadership of ABN Group for their vision, confidence, and willingness to partner with us in advancing a shared purpose. Beyond the establishment of a country office, this partnership represents a collective commitment to elevating African voices, showcasing African excellence, and creating a platform through which the continent's most compelling stories of innovation, resilience, entrepreneurship, and transformation can be told to the world."
